The benefits of group learning, real-time feedback, and the magic of community all combine to create an awesome weekend that will enrich your life in ways you never thought possible. So, why wait? Frequently Asked questions

Q: How is this different than the online lessons or Zoom workshops?

The themes we are covering in this workshop are musicality, creativity, and rhythm. These are topics that are best experienced in real life. These are creative topics that are best felt and experienced with your body, not just your ears and eyes. I’m excited to explore these topics together with you, in-person. Plus, we’ll get to spend time together and learn from others students, in real-life. A co-learning happens when we spend time together.

Q: Do I need to bring my own accordion?

Unfortunately there isn’t an accordion shop near Palm Springs. Please bring your accordion with you. I am bringing my accordion as a carry-on by wrapping it in bubble wrap and putting it in the over-head bin as a carry-on item. Double check with your airline's dimensions. You can also check your accordion as well (see this video), though it requires some preparation.

Q: What is covered by the workshop fee?

The workshop fee covers access to all the workshops as well as meals during workshop time (see below for details)

Q: What meals are provided?

We'll be sharing meals together during workshop time. Here is what the menu looks like.

Saturday: Full breakfast, lunch, and a snack break

Sunday:  Continental breakfast

Optional food: We will get together Friday at 7pm for a meet-and-greet at one of the resort’s restaurants or nearby. You can join us and purchase food and drink a-la-carte. We'll also do the same thing Saturday evening.

Q: Is lodging provided?

You are responsible for your own lodging. There are lots of options available in Palm Springs. The resort (link) is offering 10% off their best rate using the promo code CATERJAP. You can split a room with other students if you’d like, or check out other accommodations nearby. Email me for a spreadsheet with others who may want to share accommodations.

Q: What happens if i bought a ticket and can't attend?

Unfortunately there are no refunds provided for these workshops. However, if for some reason you are not able to attend, let me know, and we can take your payment and apply it to a future workshop or your monthly subscription cost.

Q: Can I attend virtually?

This specific workshop is in-person only. Keep your eyes on your inbox for future workshops that will include an online portion.
