Favorite Current Accordion Players

Post by Ed Dziedzic »

My current favorite accordion player is Dan Newton who plays in St Paul, Minnesota. His website is Daddysqueeze.com. He does a great Facebook show every Monday at noon central that is a real hoot.
This is his band, Cafe Accordion Orchestra playing Indifference. Honestly, the best version I have ever heard.

Michael Bridge...his rendition of Moon River is heart-breakingly beautiful.

I will have to look him up and have a listen. Beautiful heartbreak is a good thing in my book!

Check out Bernadette,

Bernadette playing this song made me realize that the right hand does not have to be the melody and the left hand does not have to the harmony.

Bernadette is great, I totally agree.

But you should check out "Jussi Martinnen" with his version on Forest Flowers Metsakukkia.
Video's like this make me look closely at what he is doing, and what can I use from it in my version of Mesakukkia
Currently I am trying to master the bass walks after the first phrases in the first part.
