Candy,
Beautifully performed.
A bit different, but very nice as well.

Great, Candy!mudbugcandy wrote: ↑Tue Nov 22, 2022 11:14 pm I just learned it by ear so it won't match the sheet music. I really enjoyed playing this. Thanks for the assignment and inspiration Kyle!

Bravo, Ivo! I loved your walkup in the song as well.Ivo v wrote: ↑Sun Nov 20, 2022 5:23 pm Hi All,
@Anna, I agree, Blue Christmas would be nice to learn and play.
But first here is my entry.
I first learned it with single notes, and then tried to make it more multi fingered, which amazing went rather quit.
Looking back at the video, Oh gosh, I totally forgot to do some volume control or tremelo, nor did I changed register.
Taking the video took up all the focus, oh , maybe next time.
Hope you like it. Regards Ivo

El Condor Pasa by Reeka
This tune was not that easy as I thought when I started, and I made some mistakes. It was fun to find my own multifingering, reed changes, dynamics, and some harmonies above three tones in the second part. Hope you like it a bit

Philippe, thanks - it could be better
Actually I have 4 accordions; they kind of mark my journey. More than 10 yeras ago I wanted to learn the acc and bought a 72 bass with lots of reed in both sides. A Polverini (a Chinese-Italian brand?) with a middle good quality, but very heavy. After getting more free time and joining accordionlove I wanted to have a lighter accordion and bought it from an accordion shop in Hamburg: my red Brandoni, comfortable and with a brilliant tone, a double musette only and limited in keys. One year later I wanted to have more varieties in reeds and some more keys - and got the white Brandoni, although heavier than the little red one. And beside all that, some years ago my mother - due to her high age and because I had started to play accordion - gave me her Hohner student II from the 1960s. It's VERY loud and a bit ear-piercing if played indoors, but it's light. I think it's made for outdoor and accompanying groups of singers. I hold it as part of my mother's life and would play it at a camp fire. - Normally I change between my two Brandonis depending on the tune I play. The red one is my favourite - especially if I'm tired or so. Thanks for your question!

Beautifully done Kyle, Anna, Ivo and Reeka!!! I loved each of your versions of El Condor Pasa. I now wish I had recorded mine outside. Maybe I will submit another one out in the gorgeous Palm Springs sunshine. Thank you again Kyle for the inspiration. You ALL inspire me. Candy
