Klaus' July challenge

Post by KlausHinz »

Dears,

I play a song and Ronen, you do the fills - o.k?

The song is a very old German song. It's the entry song of the "Dreigroschenoper". An opera that was presented 1928 first time.
The text writer is the famous German Berthold Brecht; the melody was composed by Kurt Weill.
Thanks to Martina Schumeckers for the sheet music.
Enjoy!

OOoooh! Klaus, I see what you did there! Very interesting take!
I know the song as "Mack The Knife", but it's nice to hear the original.
Very good, Klaus! Thank you :)

Danke, Klaus - was für eine große Ehre! :)
You manage very well not to overwhelm the melody with the basses. I first learned with the same book than you, bit I didn't get very warm with the Mackie-Messer-Song.

Wunderbar, Klaus.
It is very clever to have done that. I really enjoyed it.

Klaus
I listened to the first song only the other day but today i listened to the second song and went back agin and listened to the fills. Now I realize what you played. It was a unique way of doing it. Worked out well.
Thanks for sharing
