My neighbor just gave me an old 12-base (Hohner Jr) accordion he stored in its case for years and years. It seems to be okay for playing, but smells musty, which becomes more noticeable as I play it. I am thinking I need to go over it possibly with a small battery powered vacuum, and/or canned air. And I am airing it out now it in a warm room, and will never store in that case again. Any advice for cleaning/care?

Airing it out and vacuuming are good ideas. Also, a friend suggested to take a dryer sheet and put it inside the bellows. That freshens it up a bit.
