Re: Practice support

Hi Alan, I'm in! I think committing to consistent practice is good, and having a thread here to talk about it is helpful too. I decided at the beginning of 2021 to try for at least 8 hours per week. This works better for me as some days it's just not practical to play for one reason or another, or I...

Re: Purchasing sheet music

Thanks for the tips! I too have way more sheet music than I will ever learn but still look for more. My memory is not what it used to be, so I like to have lead sheet versions of tunes to remind myself. (I can't find them on the fly like Ronen, sadly!) I almost never find versions that I like, even ...

Re: Newcomer

Welcome Glenda! I can relate to your story and enjoy reading about other people's journeys. I feel so fortunate to be a part of these online communities because covid just about killed my accordion enthusiasm. I used to play for or with someone at least once a week. Ronen does have a fresh, unique t...

Re: So I saved an accordion

Good for you, Jessica! I don't really know about the Cellini brand. The "silver bar" to me looks like an add-on microphone of some kind which is kind of weird because there also seems to be volume switches down by the keyboard. You just never know until you take it apart! Good luck!

Re: We Talk About Scales - So Let's Do it

Nice chart, Douglas, thanks! I probably should practice scales but I don't. I've tried probably every 17.45 months but it never works out....

Re: Don’t be Afraid to Look Inside

Good advice! Another tip is to mark the bellows pins, especially if it is an older accordion. It's not uncommon to find different sized and shaped pins and holes..... Good luck!
