Even though these are ‘classical’ songs, we learn and approach them in the same way that we do other songs. Each of these songs contain chords, and each of those chords reveal the melody of the song.
These songs are slightly more difficult in their performance. Grieg’s ‘In The Hall Of The Mountain King’ requires a slow and steady build-up. ‘Piano Trio In Eb’ requires a steady left-hand pulse throughout the song while maintaining a clear melody. Pachelbel’s ‘Canon In D’ is an ideal song that I’ve been practicing for almost 30 years, across multiple instruments.
